I kind of agree with Street Pharmacist, except I don't think it's fair to say he's handcuffing anyone. I think Bouma also has genuinely improved. It's just that he's more of a complimentary piece.

Then again IMO Backlund isn't that great offensively either. Not terrible, just not good enough to create that much on his own. But we'll see how it goes. The season is very early.

The way our team is built and plays, getting stuck with the third pairing instead of top 4 makes a huge difference, that part I think can't really be argued with.
