However I think we saw glimpses later in this game of where this team is heading. It was dominance in the third and the Flames even in their resurgent season last year wouldn't typically dominate any team. They came in waves tonight when they started playing determined, just like watching the Blues or Kings when they're on. You could see the seeds of what they'll become in due time. It's extra cool when you see your future #1 (IMO) putting up a wall in his first pro game too. Canucks fans probably got their eyes opened tonight to the Flames potential whether they'll admit it or not.

Agreed that the Flames had a decent third but we have to take it in context. It was against the Canucks and while the Flames did get blown out by them in the first game, the Canucks just aren't a very good team
