An anecdote re: GOTV efforts in Calgary Centre:
I live in a condo in the Beltline. When I came home from work on Friday evening, there was a flyer with Kent Hehr's name and Liberal branding hanging from the front door to my building advising residents that early voting was occurring this weekend. Mid-morning on Saturday, we had a volunteer from Hehr's campaign knock on our fifth floor unit (another resident must have let them in the building, which is probably against our condo bylaws, but I'm not going to complain about it) asking if we'd voted yet and if we needed help getting to the polling location. Later Saturday evening, another person identifying themselves as a Liberal volunteer buzzed our unit and reminded us to vote.
I don't know if Hehr's volunteers are canvassing every home in Calgary Centre like this or if they're specifically targeting addresses of known supporters (my wife and I both donated to his campaign), but I've never seen a GOTV effort like this from any election campaign before. If Kent loses, it certainly won't be because of lack of effort on his and his team's part.
