Super under rated vehicle. My dad had a black/silver '88 XLT 5 Spd with the updated explorer style front end and dash board. He bought it to tow behind his motorhome as you could freewheel tow them with a manual because it had manual hub locks on the front.
I used to steal that thing so much and take it out when I had my learners license... lol. He eventually started taking the battery out of it when he went away for work for any amount of time. I would just put my own battery in it and keep stealing it because I just got my on key cut. This was when you could still get a key for 2 bucks at Canadian Tire.
I begged him to give it to me, and not sell it. Offered to buy it on a payment plan when I was 15... anything. I Loved that truck.
