I'm a layman in terms of beer, so I can't really speak to "notes of pear curd, with lingering elements of goat hoof", and the like. I've educated my palate from 'good or bad' to a 1 to 5 scale. I realize and respect that some people are on a 1 to 100 scale, but I'd give Alley Kat Pumpkin a 3. Right in the middle. It was a little forgettable, so I wouldn't go out of my way, except being near Halloween gives it an extra bump to recommending giving it a try.

Currently trying the phillips crooked tooth pumpkin spiced and it is deifinitely better than the alley kat, albeit a much more subtle taste of pumpkin. They also had a much stronger one at around 9%, but I didnt pick it up. Should have. Will give the alley kat another try on Thanksgiving.
