The Colorado Avalanche have acquired CPHL star Miroslav Satan just hours after the winger landed in Florida.
Heading to Florida are Anson Carter, Jack Skille and Andrew Ference. Coming to the Mile High City along with Satan are prospect defenceman Brendan Bell and defenceman Nolan Baumgartner.
"We paid a high price for Satan but he's a bonafide goal scorer who will add some scoring punch to the first line," announced Avs GM Jam 26. "We were disapointed in how Anson performed at the summer tournament. It was difficult to part with Jack Skille and Andrew Ference but we wish them luck in Florida (or wherever else they land before the season begins!)."
The Avs have been quiet over the off-season on the trade front. But placing in the Top 4 during the Summer Tourney indicates GM Jam26 is pleased with his starting lineup and eagerly awaiting the start of the 06/07 season.
