But that $4.6 is only around if Brodie is moved to LTIR. The timetable for his return was 3 to 6 weeks, and that was 2 weeks ago. LTIR assignments have to be for two weeks at a minimum. If he's 1-2 weeks away, I can't see him moved to LTIR.
Moving to Smid to LTIR would leave about $3.5M in room. Moving Colborne to LTIR would offer no relief. And recalling Granlund for Raymond or Byron saves less than $200K.
Chances are that the room the Flames have to play with going forward is between $1.7M and $2M. Not $5M.
