Default Brandon Bollig drops some fat and adds some optimism

Quote:
“I feel great. I feel about the same weight, maybe a couple of pounds heavier, but lower body fat. Maybe it was diet — I don’t know. I like to think I train hard and am pretty strict with my diet in the summer, but for some reason coming into camp this year, I’ve felt leaner.

“I was getting that comment a lot in the summer and didn’t realize it until somebody said it.”
From the preseason games I watched, he looks a lot quicker and made some nifty plays on Saturday.

Also nice to read this,

Quote:
“The first thing I did after the trade was look at where Calgary finished in the standings the year before, and I believe it was 28th,” Bollig said. “I was an inch away from going to the finals the second year in a row and maybe my second Cup with the ‘Hawks, and going from something like that to Calgary, where they finished 28th the year before, was shocking. I had no idea what to expect.

“But once I realized the mentality here and the work ethic and everything that goes into how they run things here, I knew there was no way we were going to be in the McDavid sweepstakes.
I'm excited to see Bollig carry his play from the Playoffs into this season.
