I think Leslie Jones is emerging as a break-out star. She has a manic energy not seen since Chris Farley. She was featured in 3 or 4 bits and Shasheer barely appeared at all.

I liked the 2015 summer newsmakers that appeared in the monologue - the black/white woman from Spokane, the dentist hunter and Kim Davis.
Pete Davidson seems to becoming very popular.

Either I don't watch enough NBC programming or they did a poor job of promoting the season premiere because I didn't even know that the new season was starting up.
