I missed the whole 1st period. With that caveat, Wilson was clearly the weakest of the three - he doesn't have much of an offensive game, and defensively he was prone to losing his man on the cycle.
Kulak continues to show a Brodie-like skill set, skating and moving the puck well, and keeping in decent position defensively.
Nakladal is as advertised - he has limited offense, but very solid defensively. He's got good foot speed and agility, decent size, and surprisingly good defensive instincts despite this being his first year on small ice.
Of the three, I would give Nakladal an edge on cracking the top 6 to start the season, as I see a bigger need to add a shut down defenseman with size to the roster than a rover, (and I mean no disrespect with that term) so long as the shut down defenseman can skate well enough to play the Flames up tempo style.
