Now for some honest inward reflection. Does something sound familiar about that statement? It made me think back to my thoughts on Ignatief that he didn't seem in touch with Canadians enough....or that Dion was a bumbling idiot. Does anything sound familiar about those too?
Could it be that I'm falling victim to the Conservative's core election strategy of defining the image of the opposition before they even have a chance to do it themselves? (Rhetorical question...yes, I probably am). Man is Team Harper ever an election winning machine. Here's a great article on the subject.

But, but, but...I believe it.

As much as people say they hate the negativity and attack plan of the Conservatives on Trudeau, it's undeniable that it's worked like a charm. Every time some one mentions a criticism against Trudeau it's always in the vein of "he's not ready". I've seen a tonne of people say they can't stand the adds and then seconds later say "I don't think he's smart enough", etc.,
That being said, I also think the attacks have worked too well and are slowly starting to back fire. The Conservatives set the bar so low that when people see Trudeau in the debates or making stump speeches he is able to overshoot the lowered expectations. I also think that Trudeau in comparison to Ignatief and Dion he has a charisma that is far more forgivable and relatable, which makes him a more attractive option to Scary Eyes Mulcair.
