I feel the same way. Trudeau is just not ready to lead. I honestly wholeheartedly believe that.

Now for some honest inward reflection. Does something sound familiar about that statement? It made me think back to my thoughts on Ignatief that he didn't seem in touch with Canadians enough....or that Dion was a bumbling idiot. Does anything sound familiar about those too?

Could it be that I'm falling victim to the Conservative's core election strategy of defining the image of the opposition before they even have a chance to do it themselves? (Rhetorical question...yes, I probably am). Man is Team Harper ever an election winning machine. Here's a great article on the subject.

But, but, but...I believe it.
The Conservatives are masters at tearing down their opposition. It's why I think the Liberals went with Trudeau this time. It has less to do with policy and more to do with being able to withstand a character assassination. I think he is more of a figurehead and there are people behind the scenes taking care of policy.

Dion was a true centrist and could have been a great PM, but we will never know because the campaign against him had nothing to even do with policy.
