What "other options"? My car didn't come with a "hover fifteen feet above the roadway to preserve space on the street" option.
If you are parking on a residential street, you are pretty well stuck parking in front of
someone's house in some fashion. It might not be this fat loser's house from the article, but someone probably lives there. This is especially the case in communities with infills, and newer communities where houses are narrower and don't have driveways / garages.
