If the lawyer was genuine in his concern about evidence tampering and his belief the FBI needs to be called in, one would expect him to call the FBI and have them collect the evidence bag from the mothers house...not bring it to a press conference and toss it on a table after handling it a whole bunch.
Given the immediate and unequivocal response from the police agencies accounting for their chain of custody and possession of the evidence and its packaging, this appears to me to be some disingenuous stunt.
What is truly astonishing to me is how all of this information is being leaked into the media and the lawyers are now entering the fray (after apparently resisting the urge for a few weeks).
Every leak of what is supposed to be secret information is a potential obstruction of justice yet no one seems to be planning to do anything to stop the trial by evening news. It's unfair to accuser, accused and the public as a whole.
