My older kid (who is actually left leaning but like a lot of teens is also a huge classical libertarian in terms of free speech etc.) used the term the other day and received a nice lecture from me about how it (a) is demeaning (b) ignores a debate over whatever subject matter is at hand in favour of a label and (c) tells people you really haven't thought about the issue enough to debate on the merits.
