I believe the Penticton tournament was done by the Canucks crew, or at least a combination of all four teams that were there.
The odd thing is that the Pepsi Center has one of those new giant replay screens, so they're obviously going to have to do some sort of "broadcast" just for that. I don't understand why they can't set that up to stream with the radio announcers (assuming it's being broadcast on the radio down there). From the highlights I saw, I believe that's what was done for the streams of Monday's Flames and Oilers games.
I assume it probably has more to do with the Avs wanting to sell tickets to the game. If you look, there are some big blocks of tickets still available for tonight. If the Avs aren't going to make the feed available, there's not much the Flames can do to force them.
The good news is that this should be the only game of the season that isn't available anywhere. The Canucks preseason games are both on Sportsnet, and the Jets games are on TSN (which should be on Centre Ice if the TSN feed is blacked out in Calgary). The Flames should stream the Colorado game on Tuesday.
