I think Raymond makes the team. He needs to play just well enough so as not to make the decision a total joke, but sending him down will absolutely kill his trade value. He is already at negative value, but an AHL player making over $3 million is worse.
If he can have a decent start to the season maybe he retains some value and could be part of a bigger trade.
I think Raymond, Ferland and Shore stay up with the big team. Granlund sent down, Byron on IR for a while. Then the inevitable injuries will happen and Granlund will be here.
On D, I would not be surprised if one of the guys on a PTO make it as the 7th Dman. Sounds like Smid not ready yet.
