You can do pretty much whatever you want when you're 25 and you will feel young and probably be in good shape. When you're 45, you have to work at staying in shape. Even then, you're not going to have the same energy or recover as quickly as you did when you were 25. Bad backs, the need for orthodics, weakening eyesight, bum knees. These things are wear and tear that eventually affect most people.
