You should be attacked for your beliefs when they are wrong. Which they are.
If people keep leaving religious rights unchallenged, and never attack them, they will never be changed, or modified, to accept people for who they are. Religion supports bigotry, every single one, in some way shape or form. That, is why they are so evil. Believe whatever the hell you want, as long as it does not persecute or marginalize another individual. If your beliefs do that, you should expect the same in return.
There is no sin in loving whoever you choose to love. And there is no magical being in the sky judging people for it. Full stop. End of argument.
