It's already been raised in the thread, but I think the example of interracial marriage is a great one.
If your friend was married to a black woman, and you said those exact same words about him being married to a black woman would you be called a bigot? You'd probably agree you would and
should. I don't see a difference other than what one happens to interpret in scripture as being sinful.
