It's not bigoted, it's just an issue that might test the beliefs of the church and potentially lead them to back tracking on thousands of years of teaching.
As for the second question, no. But it makes you naive and sets your children up for a sketchy future if you don't choose to educate them on proper sexual safety... But again, not bigoted. Just poor judgement.
