That's mostly because of the skill stick. I can dangle the same with Bollig that I can with Gaudreau essentially which is just dumb. They should make it so when you try a dirty move with an Engelland, you immediately cough up the puck. I score so many pretty goals with bad players lol.
The only thing that really separates the players is their speed. Massive difference between 90 acceleration vs 80. Build a team of Coglianos and back them up with up with a bunch of big defensemen and you're laughing. If you play a GM mode past year 6 or so it seems all new players develop into 90-99 spd/acc anyway so then it truly doesn't matter, they are all the same. Player progression is basically broken, I hope they fix that above all else.
