The most popular names at the time were Benning and Futa if I recall. Treliving was also a name, but I think most people preferred Benning or Futa because they were part of winning organizations, as opposed to Treliving who was part of one of the most dysfunctional organizations (not that this was a reflection of the hockey operations guys).
I have to admit, Treliving was probably the 3rd choice for me based on those 3, but i'm glad I was wrong. I was always intrigued that he was Jim Treliving's son though. He obviously had the genes to be a successful person, but it's not always a guarantee.
