I sometimes wonder if it might not be almost necessary to show that video from his POV, or the disturbing images from such mass shootings. Its like nothing is working to shake people to their core about the gun violence, I only saw that still screen shot of his gun and her reaction to seeing it, it lingers with me since I saw it in a way that is palpable.
Kind of like the argument made that when soldiers die the US did not allow reporters to show the coffins and return home, unlike what Canada did with its highway of heroes.
I of course understand a lot of people would be quite upset to view such videos, and can of course choose to avoid it, totally understandable.. But I wonder if by not seeing the barbarity of things like these mass murders, the horrors of war, do we then desensitize ourselves to the horror? I mainly am thinking of those in the US who rabidly argue for gun rights, I wonder if they watch a video like that does it give them pause?
