I think having actual physical gold, as opposed to a piece of paper that says you have gold, is never a bad thing as a supplemental insurance policy in case crap really hits the fan. |
Just out of curiosity, where would one even sell gold at market value? Let's just say hypothetically you invested say $1k in gold bars/coins in 2015 and opted to sell it off in 2025.
Do banks buy gold? Jewelers? Other folks on the internet?
