This quote is a perfect illustration of the pervasiveness of misinformation from north american mass media. The story was completely uncorroborated, but the huge front page story has already done the damage needed to soften up the opinion of the masses about the threat Iran poses to world peace. This is
exactly the same treatment Iraq received for a year prior to the invasion.
There's no question that Jews are discriminated against in an oppressive Muslim country, much in the same way other religions are aswell. No one would dare suggest that kind of treatment is warranted. However, spreading lies regarding their treatment (aka armbands) only worsens the situation for everyone.
