As it is bands often go Vancouver, Edmonton/Calgary and then Winnipeg for a Western Canadian swing. It's not suddenly becoming Vancouver and Edmonton and Calgary and Winnipeg. The roof is not a cure all to getting more concerts here. Will it mean a few more shows skip Edmonton for Calgary? Yes, but shows will still skip Calgary for Edmonton.
That's my point, if people think that's going to stop with a new arena, they are in for some heartbreak. Big acts will still skip Calgary.

Sure right now most concerts still come here but without the Flames how does the dome operate?
