Rush just played Calgary and....not Edmonton. Pearl Jam played Calgary 2013...not Edmonton. Bands go to Calgary and not Edmonton a decent amount if you look hard enough.

Edmonton has a thousand year old area too at the moment...you think acts will be skipping their new arena and playing in the dome? not very often, obviously there are other factors like the schedule. Also the football stadium will host larger shows too.
The Flames won't survive long term without a new arena and if the Flames left the dome would be too expensive to operate just for the odd concert
Calgary NEEDS these facilities
