I'm a fairweather cyclist, so I won't be biking in poor weather, I'll likely be done by late mid-September. But I walk year-round, always have. The way my commute works it doesn't make sense to commute otherwise. (That said, I'll often take the train a couple stops in the dt core if the train isn't full, it saves me a couple mins in the morning). There are many days when I'm walking faster than the car traffic on 4th Ave. This spring, I injured my knee and needed to drive to work one day. It took longer for me to do just the daycare/home leg in the car than it normally takes for the whole on-foot commute from work-daycare-home.
