I'm not in Calgary so different region. Live in St.Albert and my drive to work can range from 16 minutes to 36 depending on traffic.
I drive to work and on an average day it takes 22, it's 13km. 9km of the distance is getting from where I live in St.Albert to Edmonton. Going to work it's about 40% of the time to cover that distance. Coming home that part takes up about 70% of the time as the traffic bottles up as you come into St.Albert. I'd consider cycling, but there is no dedicated cycling path to get over the Anthony Hendy coming out of the North West end of St.Albert. With where I drop my son off for day care that presents a challenge.
