Not only that, he left Price in to face the lefty, which made sense, but then he didn't bring in Sanchez to face the righty Headly who was already 2 for 3 against Price tonight. Next thing you know he hits a ground rule double.
Ok, so bring in Sanchez to face the righty Young. Makes sense except they have the red hot lefty Beltran on the bench to pinch hit into an outfielder's spot in the lineup. He wouldn't have likely subbed him for their 3rd baseman.
Gibbons has always been pretty poor at strategy and game management. I don't know how he gets a free pass so often for not paying attention to the game.
