I wonder if it would be easier to work it backwards. I.e.: The Flames group starts by owning a pro MLS team, and accepts losses for a while until the brand and culture get built up. Once you have your MLS team, you create your own affiliate/academy, and start profiting off that as well. Not unlike MLSE.
