Rape is obviously a different thing altogether. Consent seems horribly confusing for some so I'm not going to even get into that. I think the above rule is good for most non-rape situations though. I can honestly say in my 3+ decades on this planet, I have adhered to it flawlessly since at least grade 5 or 6.
