Then maybe they should not put people in the field if this is happening as often as people say. There is also my suggestion from before, put a sign up, just out of view of the camera, that says something along the lines of We are taping a segment for the news, it is on a 15 minute delay (or just say for later).
With the delay people would be much less likely to do something stupid like this because it would not make it on TV and they would not get their "fame". There is very little to gain from having it live from a location unless it is something huge like a massive explosion\fire\crash etc. A music festival being like adds nothing.
