You guys are putting this in the context of the FHRITP people, when that's not fair to the kid who was just being a dork.
The reporter should have just gone into the barrier area of the festival where all the sound/control equipment was if she didn't want to interact with the crowd. Not because she's a woman, but because she's standing in front of a camera and people like photo bombing/doing silly things.

First, she was on the outskirts, not in the throng. Dumb argument, she's at least 30 feet back. As well, reporters go into war zones. They are supposed to be close. Very stupid argument.
Second, this is a problem because this has happened way too much. Guys taking liberties with women on camera. Often way WAY worse. If she doesn't report, she's saying all those other ones are ok.
I'm a free love guy. I wish we lived in a world where we could sneak a kiss, as passion for human kind. As a celebration of a good event. I wish it happened to guys as much as it happened to girls. I wish a peck was a peck, and if you didn't like it, you/d just brush it off.
But that's not the world we live in. Women get raped every day, and it starts with some guy not respecting boundaries. I want to believe this specific case was harmless. But even if it was, not reporting it is very harmful to women everywhere.
