It would kinda suck to be a female TV reporter right now with all of the FHRITP crap; you might feel like you're a bit of a target every time you're in front of the camera at a public event. You might be more or less treated like any other woman (for better or worse) through most of your day, but the moment there's a rolling camera in front of you, there's an increased likelihood that some idiot is going to try to take advantage of the situation and do something that goes beyond the boundaries of acceptable interaction. So yeah, I support her on this: it's absolutely stupid that female journalists have somehow become a target through absolutely no fault of their own. This might not be as offensive as a FHRITP bomb (or it may be, depending on your perspective), but if you're the victim of it, the difference is probably immaterial.
