Imagine if it was African-American Joe Blow... the dude would be in jail for sure, no questions asked. Hell, if that same black guy was caught with an ounce of weed, he'd probably be in jail for years. Is there a more racist and corrupt justice system in the first world than the American one? I doubt it. Stuff like this really grinds my gears. The west is nothing more than a caste based society, we just don't call it that officially.

If you haven't seen it already Joe Rogan recently did a podcast with an ex Baltimore police officer. A lot of the stuff people already know or assume about law enforcement in the States but coming directly from a police officer's mouth and speaking candidly about the things they do it was pretty interesting and refreshing to hear.
