Even though I am old enough to (barely) remember Ernie Whitt, I still have to take the emotional choice and choose Pat Borders.
One of my favourite Calgary Cannons memories was going to see him in 2002 when he was just hanging on to the game and playing for Tacoma. The entire ballpark cheered Borders more than our own team those nights, often with "MVP" chants from when he was World Series MVP.
