That's been his biggest criticism over the years, but I just don't buy it. One political party has consistently provided far more crazy over the years for Jon to cover than the other, it's just a comedian working with what he's got. If you watched his interviews with Obama he didn't shy away from criticism. The only reason that Jon Stewart has been viewed as increasingly more liberal over the years is because of how much the Republican party has shifted to the extreme right, watching him from the beginning when he took the show over from Kilborn his political views haven't really changed

That finale was great, but man it sucks now that it's hit home that he's done. Losing both Colbert and Stewart in the same year is a big blow, though Colbert is coming back on Late Night there's no way he's going to be as political or insightful as he was on the Report. Watching the craziness of the US election cycle without either of them covering it is going to feel empty
