Any number of them could have been elected in a previous election, but it doesn't really matter as May somehow made it into the debates prior to being elected.
I would like more representation of small parties on a national level, or better yet, remove party association altogether, but for the time being, there should be a floor to the requisite number of seats to be called a party. Perhaps seats in 4 provinces? Or maybe remove the seat requirement and go with 3000 registered volunteers in each of at least 4 ridings in at least 4 provinces? That should permit a Canadian grass roots voice in the debate but remove fringe politics. Maybe?
