Even though I think this list is garbage, as someone who has lived in both communities(currently reside in southwood) I would have to say that I find southwood to be a better neighbourhood to live in. Haysboro is a nice and quiet place, but I think that it is so quiet because there is simply nothing there, no real amenities. You would need to cross the train tracks or a major roadway to get to a grocery store, pub or bank. Plus southwood also has a few daycares which makes it more appealing to young families. I also think the fact that it is bordered by 2 roads that connect with deerfoot and one that will connect with the ring road also tips the scale in southwood's favour. I wouldsay that haysboro's community centre and hockey rinks are definitely better than southwood's, but as far as day to day living I would choose southwood over haysboro.
