I was a huge Nintendo fan right up until the last days of the n64, then I converted to PS2 and I was hooked. However, with the delays of the new system, the price tag, and the marginal differences its going to make over the 360, I can't see myself getting one, at least not for a few years. Besides, the first-generation models are always CRAP. PS2 had absolutely crappy machines, and only in the last year or two have they made them to the standard they should be.
I'm going to go with a Wii this time around, as I want a brand-new gaming experience but also with that old-school feel. I also like the fact that you can play every single previous Nintendo title through the Wii as well, making this console an essential tool for the old-school gamers (Hello Goldeneye again!)
Still, the PS3 will be the best selling console on the market in no time flat, regardless of what it churns out. People are too fanatical over video games these days, so there really isn't much worry for Sony to be operating at a loss for very long.
I still prefer PC gaming though, 10 times over.
