Good.
No rush with this kid. Unless he plays a certain amount of games in the NHL we have him for at least the next 5 years. Play a year in the WHL see how it goes. Maybe play again next year as a 19 year old. At 20 go pro, it's a common development path, tried tested and true. Yeah it'd be cool to see him in the AHL this year but there isn't a rush. Lots of pros to the AHL or WHL but he'll get lots of time with the Wheat Kings.
Still can develop in the AHL later on with Flames coaches etc
