It's been a long time since I've commented on the forum but this made me stop by. I went fishing the Skeena when I was in grade 8 (so…14, 15ish?) and caught two fish in the entire time I was there. One ten pound steelhead and a thirty pound Chinook…two fish in seven days and worth every second sitting on the bank of the river waiting for a bell to ring. The Skeena is what made me realize my love for fishing, and I'll never forget the fun I had out there. Thank you kindly for bringing back such happy memories. While I still love lake fishing for jack and pickerel, and the occasional ocean trip for salmon, nothing will ever compare to the excitement of scarring up your hands trying to set the hook on a salmon headed downriver!
