No, Colborne is a guy who's just there. Byron is one of our best 4 vs 4, penalty kill, tough defensive minutes guys who can also be an offensive spark when the team goes into those lulls where our top line players can't even break through the opposing team's blue line.

Ferland identifying and taking advantage of the Canucks weaknesses does not negate it's value. Are you suggesting this is something Byron could have just as well done had he been healthy?
As for ColbIorne, I like Byron but I take the big guy over him every time. Similar age ( both getting close but still a little time to improve) but Colborne has much higher ceiling IMO and plays a more important role already.
