I'll be 100% honest - I was waiting for this draft with deadmonton oiler-like enthusiasm. If this year's talent pool truly does end up littered with impact players through the top 2-3 rounds, there could be some serious steals. With the Flames set to pick 6 times in the first 3 rounds (and I had been eating my vegetables and washing behind my ears and whatever else good boys do all month while crossing my fingers and hoping we could move some depth guys as part of s package to add a second first round pick).
I had visions of us just crushing our picks.. Mid/late firsts and two mid seconds could have potentially had is walking away with Getzlaf/Parise/Seabrook, Perry, Bergeron and Weber..
