Seems like this could be a very good contract for both sides assuming he maintains or improves his level of play from last year (but really what contract would you not say that about).
Through the Ovechkin era the Caps have searched for a true #1 with guys like Huet, Varlamov, Neuvirth, and Theodore all coming and going. Holtby had an amazing season last year (franchise record setting in some aspects IIRC), and gave them every chance to win in a very tight 7 game series against a strong Rangers team. I really think he will be a top goalie next year and Washington could be a real Cup threat.
