So is actual prospect development oftentimes... I don't really have a problem with it being wacky, just needs to be weighted in favour of good prospects getting better. It shouldn't be anything close to a rule. Some prospects should hit, some should disappoint but still be okay, and others should bust completely, despite high expectations. That's how it actually works.
