A player with high potential of being elite should never, ever regress when he improves in every statistical category from the previous season. Happens far too often in the current crop of games.
Just last night Sean Monahan went from a 92 to 88 despite being green Elite. Oliver Kylington, in his second year, went from a 77 to a 71 and dropped from green Elite to yellow Top 6. Despite all this, some random 6th round draft pick with a red AHL potential went from a 59 to 76. This was all in the same season.
