The tirade was way over the top but I think losing a job over it is a bit much.
As for cameras, in this case they are installed for the cabbies security and in this case I think it was warranted. They even have a sign that says there are cameras so I am really ok with that. As long as notice is posted that you can be recorded on camera I think it is ok in a personal location (store\car\home etc) In a public place I am still on the fence about being recorded.
